The Reach For The Sky Track and Field Clinic is designed to offer two different ‘learn by doing’ clinic opportunities - a youth clinic and a high school clinic - to allow participants to try various events in the sport of track and field, with the hope of inspiring participants to Dream Big and to Soar to New Heights, by having the thrill and unique experience of training at one of the greatest track and field facilities in the world - The TRACK at New Balance.
Both clinics will be held at The TRACK at New Balance, located at Boston Landing (91 Guest Street in Brighton, MA), within the same development as the practice facilities of the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins.
The YOUTH CLINIC is designed to provide the opportunity for kids, ages 10-14, of all abilities, to learn about and to try the various events of track and field, including the long jump, high jump, shot put and sprints/hurdles. Participants will receive basic instruction in each event and then will be able to actually do the events during each session - no previous experience is needed - just the desire to try new things.
The HIGH SCHOOL CLINIC is designed to provide more specialized instruction and practice time in a selected event. Participants will select a specific event that they wish to focus on and will then work with coaches who specializes in that event. The intent is to provide both coaching and a facility that participants may not have access to at their respective school, as a means to enhance their event participation at their respective high school. High school coaches are also welcome to attend and assist - having multiple coaches working as a cooperative will further enhance the learning process for each participant, as well as for coaches.
Both Clinics will provide 8 days of learning and doing - each participant will attend all 8 days.
Clinic dates: December 5, 12, 19, January 2, 9, 23, 30, February 13, 20 (2023)
Clinic Times: (Youth Clinic -6:00-7:15; High School Clinic 7:15-9:00)
Registration is limited – early registration is strongly encouraged
Clinic fee is $250 for the 8 day series.
