Registration for our upcoming 2024-25 Winter Indoor Track and Field Program is open

Practices will be held at the indoor track at the Kennedy Middle School in Waltham (655 Lexington St) Sessions will be on Sundays at 4:00 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. The program will start on Sunday, December 8th and conclude on March 2nd and the USATF New England Invite. Members choose which nights they wish attend - we encourage two nights per week. We do not expect members to attend all sessions.
We will also attend multi-team meets during the season including
USATF New England Indoor Meets at Wheaton College on January 12th and 19th, Vacation Week meet on February 19th at the Reggie Lewis Center, and the New England Invite on March 2nd. Other meets may be added.
Our Sunday sessions are divided by age groups: 10 and unders at 4PM, 5:15 for 11-14, High School at 6PM For the older athletes who are working on specific event specialization, there will be 4 Monday clinic sessions at Brandeis with our senior staff.
The program is open to boys and girls, ages 8-14 and high school participants age 15-18. There are no tryouts or cuts - all abilities are welcome. Space for 8-9 year old members is limited.
Events will include the 55/60 meter dash, hurdles, 200, 400, 800, mile, race walk, long jump, high jump and shot put. Athletes will be encourage to try them all. The program will include general athletic development using the events of track and field. (Run, Jump, and Throw) We want young athletes to develop a large range of skills and sample a variety of events. They might discover a passion or simply development movement talents that can be used in other sports.

The total number of accepted members will be based on the number of parents who express interest in being a Club coach. No experience is necessary - we will teach parents all that they need to know. Training will be held in November
Parents of youth members are expected to sign up for at least one volunteer duty on the teamsnap registration - we do encourage parents to consider coaching.
PARENT COACHES NEEDED!!
The key to how many sessions we can offer and how many members we can accept, will be based on how many parents will able to assist with coaching - no experience is necessary - we will teach you everything you need to know. Please reply back ASAP if you are able to help with coaching and we will notify you as to when our coaching classes will be held. The actual dates and set up of practices will totally be dependent upon the number of coaches we have available.
